Very often, teachers with a Catalan nationalist ideology tend to speak about Catalonia as a country that was independent of Spain three hundred years ago, and use to say that since at this time ruled the monarchy of the Bourbons, Catalonia is an occupied country that deserves to be free again. This is false and a very poorly way to understand history, I think. But some young people accept this well and, moved by anti-Spanish sentiment, fill the walls in front of the high school with graffiti slogans of independence. The authorities do nothing to prevent this.
毎日、私はここ道路を働きに行きます。私の高校が道路の左にあります。道路の右にグラフィッチが見られます。このグラフィッチは高校の前にあって、「占領の３００年、抵抗の３００年」と言います。そう生徒へ教えます。何を？スペインは外国ですから、カタルニャが独立しなければなりません。

カタルーニャの歴史背景を生徒たちが正しく理解することは大切なことですよね。
歴史は、よく、歴史を書く者に都合よく作られ書かれるという傾向があります。
本当の歴史を自分で追求していくという態度が生徒の中に生まれれればいいと思います。
